Tip of the Week: Make sign-on a breeze with SSO

Did you know you can avoid winding up like this guy by enabling single sign-on (SSO) for Ushur?!

If you’re one of the many companies that uses Microsoft Azure or Google as SSO providers then I have great news – Ushur integrates with these platforms to create a more convenient, one-click option for users to login to Ushur.

At a high level, this is all you need to do to enable SSO (assuming your business is already using Azure identity provider):

  • Add Ushur as a new enterprise app on Azure Active Directory
  • Add the user on Ushur as SSO User

We’ve put together detailed steps on how to enable SSO in our service desk here, but if you have any trouble, be sure to let us know in the comments below.

Note: If an employee no longer needs access to Ushur, please notify your CSM so we can disable their account.

This is a weekly series meant to help you use and optimize the Ushur platform. If you have anything to add to this tip, or want to see a specific product featured, let us know in the comments!

Although for employees, remembering one less account credential is nice and easy, SSO enables organizations to better manage their employee’s access to external platforms like Ushur. There are situations where an employee transitions to another department or leaves the company entirely. in such cases, Ushur has no way to systematically learn about the change hence their accounts will remain active until someone tells us about the change.

That is a great point Amir! CSMs need to be notified if an account needs to be disabled from Ushur. I added that into the text of the post as well!
